So it´s Thursday afternoon here. Things definitely weren´t as hectic for me this year. Rick and I were able to finish Juan Jose´s bookshelf and deliver it about 20 minutes ago. That meant time to come to the CyberClick for a little update!
Earlier today we moved the water tower by Juan Jose´s house over towards the front of the complex, next to the Niños classroom. As I type this, Clint is working on some of the outdoor plumbing next to the house. Jason and David are finishing a toolbox (with dividers!) for some of the loose tools in the church attic, and most of the rest of our group are putting together the food sets for delivery.
Today we got a treat for lunch: grilled cheese sandwhiches and Sue Price chocolate chip cookies! Tonight we will get our traditional send-off dinner of fish tacos prepared by our brothers and sisters from the Mexican church here in Camalu.
This trip is a blessing in so many ways it is difficult to describe. Once I have a chance to decompress in the states for a few days, I´ll add a couple more posts. Maybe one with pictures, and another giving my final thoughts on the week. Thanks for checking in on us, and praying for us! Hasta luego!

End of our 2nd workday
This week is going by pretty fast. It is hard to believe that we´ve only got 2 days of work left here in Camalu. Let me update you on what evryone has been doing.
Matt, Clint, Drew, Jason, and some of our translators have been finishing the roof over 2 houses. The framed them in wood yesterday, and have been putting the sheet metal on today. Sarah Behler has been hard at work with VBS and has gotten a lot of help there. She´s also been painting in the niños classroom with Ruth and Sue and Sarah (another translator). Scheryl and Laura have helped Cody, Kaitlin, Madelyn, Julia, and Hope painting the outside of Juan Jose´s casa. David has been hard at work on making a changing table for the nursery. Rick and I have already finished 1 dinner table, and started on the 2nd today. We hope to finish it in time to also get Juan Jose a bookshelf.
Other things we´re looking forward to for the rest of the week: David wants time to build a toolbox, we´ll have fish tacos Friday night, and hopefully tomorrow night we can put food bags together to deiver to needy members of the church here. And of course, the final 3 installments in our study of Job.
Also, Jo has done an excellent job providing us with food this year. A lot of us enjoyed chicken salad (ensalada de pollo) today! Keep the prayers coming our way, and hopefully we´ll finish this week as strong as we´ve started it. Hopefully I´ll get another good update out Thursday afternoon. Hasta luego!

Monday, July 26th
Our trip is going well so far. Sarah had a flight that ran late Saturday so she missed a connection and didn't get in until midnight. Other than that minor hiccup, things have gone smoothly. Today we painted, roofed, had VBS, and cut wood. I'll give a better update later when I'm not using my cell phone to do the typing! These little keys will make me blind. Hasta luego.

Baja Group 2010!
So, if you've forgotten this blog existed, shame on you! We're headed back to Camalu to spread the love of Christ in 2010! I should be asleep, so the next update will be from South of the border. we've got a different team this year so I'll do some name dropping too. Night-night...
