Hi everyone this is Patrick, and I´m here with a mid-day update on our first workday. Actually, I don´t have a great idea as to what went on today. Galen, Kim, Juan Jose and I went out around 10 am to get supplies. We stopped by the wood shop where we bought about 90 meters of 24.5 cm wide wood, as well as some plywood, for the kitchen shelves and armoirs we´re going to make. And when I say "we´re" going to make I really mean I´m making. ¿Do I have anything that would qualify me as a cabinet maker? I don´t know, but I may by the end of the week. We may have a disaster story to add on here soon.
After the wood shop we went about 15 minutes south to the Comex paint store. It took us a while to figure out how all the colors and primers were going to work on the inside and outside of the classroom, but Kim, Galen, and Juan got it figured out. I sort of stood off to the side and stared into space. Hopefully the outside of the new classroom building that others have constructed will match fairly close to the church building. If it doesn´t it is Galen´s fault.
It seems like everything else is getting started according to plan, Clint and David and others are preparing the outside of the church building for a big concrete slab that we´ll hopefully succeed in pouring this week. Keep us in your prayers!
