Hi, This is Bev - I'm new at blogging, so be patient!

Setting up the clinic.

Installing a door and roof on a bano for one of the church members who has many health problems.

Bill had plenty of help trimming door frames - Ricardo was a good little helper!

Building bed frames, then taking a break to play with the kids.

Front of Camalu church building.

Bagging up food to distribute (rice, beans, oil, tuna, flour, sugar, pasta, etc)

Weaving "matzo covers" with the kids.

Giving manicures and shoulder massages to the ladies while they waited to be seen in the clinic. (Erindida, pictured here, was baptized while we were there last year and is due any day)

Kim and Sara framed this window (with Bill's supervision) - measured, cut with a miter saw, drilled, nailed in place - good job!

Juan Jose, the minister at Camalu, used Galen's talents as a professional artist to the max. He painted the communion table with the phrase "This Do in Remembrance of Me" in Spanish, with Patrick's assistance.

Juan Jose also asked Galen to paint a sign on the side of the building with meeting times.

We are back in the US and already I am missing our friends in Camalu. So many memories. I can say that I learned many more lessons from the brothers and sisters there than they learned from us. One that sticks with me occurred in a Ladies' Class I taught one night on teaching children. After a short lesson, we divided the ladies into groups. We had set up several tables - each table had a Bible marked with a different story and several items to practice telling the story using different methods. I had envisioned one lady reading aloud to her group, then the group working together on the lesson. But what I saw was almost every lady going to get her Bible to read it for herself, while one lady read aloud. I saw such a love for and hunger for the Word, I was humbled. Pictured above are the ladies of the church at Camalu along with some visitors.
